In lovely matured condition, this is the standard Victorian issue Police Truncheon supplied to each Constable (Bobby) and carried in a hidden pocket in his right hand trouser leg. No longer having its wrist loop of string or leather, it has a grooved circular grip and measures 18" overall. There is slight wood loss to the pommel, and the truncheon is stamped CROWN over V. R., dating from the final 20 30 years of the
