This is a lovely powder horn dating to the early 19th Century with a very unique built in stopper, consisting of a small piece of horn which turns to open & close the powder channel although it has no fixed position, it likely once turned into small notches that locked it in place. The horn measures roughly 14 long, and has a rounded wooden bottom plate with a brass knob at the end for attachment of a carrying strap. The
