Very well done cutaway display made from a Confederate rifled projectile fired from a cannon. This is a 3 shell made of cast iron with lead cup sabot and stacks of wedge shaped steel case shot. The iron surface shows moderate pitting, but is stable. Its lead cup sabot is complete and shows deep rifling of the seven grooves of the imported British Blakely rifle which fired this shell.
