Here we have a very set of service used aluminum canteens from the two primary European members of the Axis powers: Italy and Germany. The German canteen is the standard M 31 canteen, with an aluminum body covered with a green wool felt cover. It still retains a worn leather harness, which has been repaired on the back to have a makeshift belt hook. It still has the aluminum cap, but no sealing washer,
