This is a very nice example of a 1942 dated standard issue black leather hardshell holster for the Luger Pistole 08 (P. 08), which was used by German forces during WWI & WWII. Towards the end of WWI the standard color for pistol holsters was changed from brown to black, and that continued through the WWII Period.
