Original U.S. Pre Civil War Era German Made Model 1830 Officer's Eagle Head Sword with Ivory Grip and Scabbard by Gebrüder Weyersberg British Holsters The underside of the rimOriginal item: Only One Available. Here we have a very smart looking original Eagle Headed and ivory gripped U. S. Officer's sword, typical of the type made in the 1830s and later. The sword is all brass mounted with a standard "D" hand guard and a very nice "closed mouth" Eagle pommel. The grip is fluted ivory or bone which is loose on the tang. The hand guard is also somewhat loose, and the original gilding on the brass is still mostly present.
