This is really a Peach! We have only ever handled a few of these very early breech loading rifles, and this has to be one of the best we have ever seen! It shows no signs of restoration, and still shows the original plum colored "browned" finish used on U. S. firearms made during the period. The wood is fantastic, and the percussion converted breech block was refinished during the conversion, so it looks to have been
